Apartment in Kypseli.

date. 2015
city. Kypseli, Athens, Greece
street. Porou
In a residential multistorey building of the 1960’s an apartment is being redesigned according to contemporary principles and needs, in order to host a single working man. Walls are being demolished, halls are unified with main rooms and access points are being re-ordered, so that living spaces can be re-used with efficiency and high comfort standards. Private and common spaces are separated without blocking the feeling of depth, while warm materials such as wood are combined with black and white surfaces, which emphasize the client’s minimalistic style. Modern decorative lamps and paintings complete the coloration of the apartment, giving it the final touch, while keeping it austere as a bachelor man’s house should be.
